These are the most unique caves I have ever seen. And to imagine you are only seeing 1% of the total caves is almost unbelievable. The price is extremely reasonable for a boat ride across the lake, a bus ride up the mountain and a fantastic tour. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and fun. Go alone, go with a friend, go with your children, but either way, just GO!

“Too Much Money for Amateur Guide”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

My wife and I visited the Caverns on Sunday, 9/22/2013. We have toured lots of caves and caverns throughout the U-S. To begin with, we were a bit disappointed that there was not a senior admission fee. So we paid the $24 adult fare. After the short boat ride, we were met by Jonathan - a young man who told us that he had done everything to include being a dental hygenist. After the 45 minute tour of a potentially great cave, we emerged and concluded that Jonathan needs to be replaced by a cave naturalist. Twentyfour dollars was a lot to pay to hear a young man tell us all the places he could go that we couldn't because he was an employee. There was a lot to that cave that was totally missed because of the immaturity of the guide.

“Lake Shasta Caverns”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

We went to Lake Shasta Caverns with 3 other couples during a 2,000 mile motorcycle trip. It was a fun stop, the boat ride, tour guides, and the caverns were all fantastic! The only bad part was the lake is so low that it was a long walk back up in the hot sun, I have a leg problem and it made for so going. It was worth it though, a fun break, the caverns are absolutely beautiful!

“awesome cave”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

short boat ride and a bus up the hill to the entrance. The cave was great lots of steps
but worth it. also great view of lake shasta from above. The bats were flying around high up
inside the largest cavern. Very interesting. cost $24 per person. Also the gift shop has
inexpensive souvenirs.

“Surprising caverns”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

If you are ever in the Redding area, you must check out Lake Shasta Caverns. This place is an unexpected beautiful surprise. First a quick boat ride across the lake, then a bus ride up the mountain and the tour into the caverns. About a 2 hour trip total back and forth. Inside the caverns it is cool and unbelievable how many chambers there are. The formations inside are beautiful and worth the price of admission. A must see attraction.
