Had an opportunity to do a timeshare exchange and wanted to try a need location for our annual family ski trip and this was it. Read all reviews...and all were very accurate regarding pros and cons. Worst feature was defense the parking and stairs to get to any of the units. But once inside...well worth the workout! Our 2bedroom unit (316) was very nice! Clean...large...well decorated....and well equipped unit. Loved the wood burning fire place (must furnish yourself )so bring plenty! Large outdoor patio/balcony with BBQ grill. Loved everything about this beautiful chalet. Close to skiing...snowboarding and snow play. Won't be sorry!

We have visited the 3 BR units with 8 people (4 adults, 4 kids) each of the past 2 summers. They are sufficiently sized but not especially roomy. The master BR is upstairs and the other 2 (with a common bath and laundry) are downstairs. Not sure if all 3 BR units are oriented this way, but it is efficient, especially for separating family units as desired. The dining table has sufficient room for 8, also, which is great. The pool is small but great for the kids; likewise the game room.

The location is not prime, since the lake is private, but the resort offers access to the lake trail. Therefore you can at least pretend you belong. The roads are tight, but there is a running/walking trail around the lake that can be navigated with some planning (a rough map: http://www.lakearrowheadmeetings.com/media/docs/Hiking_map.pdf).

I always remember the smell of pines and the crisp blue sky in June/July. Down the mountain in summer it's hazy, hot, and smelly, so it's a nice diversion.

We had many wonderful stays here with groups over the years,
very nice, clean, friendly service, and very well priced.

Its the Mountain Air, and the quiet nights, and the pure Beauty of this whole area.
This location is a close ride to see, and enjoy the whole mountain area.

You wont find any Nicer people than they have in Arrowhead, great summer, fall,
winter, any season, its worth the drive.
1 1/2 hr - 2 hour drive from LA..

I had a mini vacation with my family planed to go to Arrowhead Chalets and I was so pleasantly surprised to see how Beautiful the Chalets are!! My family had a great time playing in the snow, taking walks, the wild life and just relaxing! I can't wait to go back :)

Room Tip: I would say because the have different size condos, just pick one that fits your family size.

We got lucky and stayed on a weekend it snowed. It is a little far from Big Bear, but the small town mountain feel is alive and well! We will definitely be going back soon. The condo was clean and the staff was friendly!

Great place in a very nice location. One thing to keep in mind that it's located on a very steep hill and it requires walk up/down stairs to get to your car or to walk anywhere on the property. Lake Arrowhead village is only 2 minutes drive away, a beach is less than 5 minutes away. The only problem we discovered is that the property doesn't have enough beach permits and getting one was a bit of a hassle the first day.
