“Excellent place to complete exercises.”

I go to the YMCA when I visit and it is an excellent facility. The park is a nice place to run, walk and enjoy the place. It is clean and safe.

“Community Pool is a draw! (But needs toilet seats.)”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2009

We moved here from Indiana in 2008, and were immediately frustrated at the limited number of community pools where you could go swimming without being forced to take swimming lessons, where the pool was shallow enough in places so that my daughter (3 yrs) didn't have to cling to me the whole time...i guess that is what you pay for when you have the beach within a stone's throw all the time, though....we definitely miss the mini-water-park community pools - cheap entrance fee, shallow/deep areas, fun, safe, zero depth entry, mini water park style - that we left behind in Indiana. so we were thrilled to find the Crown Valley Community Park pool. it had a kid's pool that wasn't more than 2 feet deep, it was shaded from too much direct sun, and wasn't too expensive or far away. we didn't HAVE to take swimming lessons to use the facilities. we really enjoyed visiting 2-3 times. BUT i have to say we were appalled that the toilets in summer 2008 did not have any toilet seats! just a porcelain rim for you to sit on! and since my daughter was just learning to use the potty, it was awful - what was i supposed to do, dangle her above the toilet? i didn't want to use them myself, either. yuck! i hope summer 2009 will be different, and they will make an effort to install seats on those cold germy rims. like being asked to sit on a urinal, really......such a nice facility, a nice park outside too, but such a letdown of basic hygiene. please fix this Laguna Niguel. thanks.
