Mangia Bene is our family's hands-down favorite restaurant--not just our favorite italian, but our favorite overall. First, their garlic bread is fresh and powerfully garlicky!! Just the way it should be. The Mangia Bene salad and the Seared Ahi Salad are great: fresh and delicious. Their pastas are exceptional. Our favorites are the Angnolotti Rosati (chicken ravioli) and the Rigatoni Mangia Bene.
Two of their entrees are among my favorites anywhere. They make an incredible roasted salmon (I prefer it with garlic and olive oil only). It's fresh and comes out crispy on the outside and tender and moist within. So good!! When requested, they will happily make the Pollo Porcini, a favorite of mine that's no longer on the menu. Grilled butterflied chicken breasts in a porcini cream sauce that I think they make in heaven. Maybe if enough of us order it, they'll put it back on the menu.
Oh, and if the garlic bread, salads, pastas, and entrees aren't enough, their tiramisu is among the best I've ever had anywhere!
Mangia Bene was once just 5 minutes from our house. We're now an hour away and still go at least monthly. You should too.
