Would definitely stay here again. Nice breakfast, beautiful property, great pool, close to shops and restaurants. I arrived early and I didn't mind waiting but they shuffled some guests around and found me a room.

Review of Laguna Hills Lodge

We stayed one night at the Laguna Hills Lodge and loved it. Old school road side type motel that has been well maintained and kept its charm despite new buildings popping up all around it. Cute pool, hot tub and a small gym (that I could’ve/should’ve/didn’t use!). Breakfast included (simple but filling). Very nice staff, proprietor - welcoming at check-in, smiling at check-out. Would stay again!

The Five Lagunas Mall is just across the street and our guests give us really positive feedback on Kings Fish House, In-N-Out Burger, BJs, Rubys, and Chick-fil-A ^_^. Hallway carpet old and dirty looking; external concrete stairwell and elevator also show age. Ice machine outside and downstairs was old and not efficient - could not produce enough ice to fill bucket after someone else used it before me.
Nice remodeled room but below average bed and bedding (old and threadbare sheets; blanket thin, pilled and worn). Very thin walls and ceiling: could hear people in adjacent rooms PLUS heard someone stomping across the ceiling FOR HOURS at night, very difficult to sleep. Water pressure in shower was ok.
Free breakfast but few options and very basic, coffee not good (fortunately there was a Starbucks nearby). On-site parking tight but free; located near Irvine Spectrum and lots of places to eat.

Thanks for your review. As a reader of this review let me provide a few facts: The oldest hallway carpet at the Lodge is three years old; our elevator was refurbished in 2018; and regarding breakfast here is a brief list of options: Muffins (3 flavors), danish (3 flavors), toast / bagels (5 selections), cereals / oatmeal (7 choices), fresh fruit (2 types) plus fruit cups, yougut (3 flavors), and much more.

Great suite room, large living room when you walk in. Great for a big family and close to many great food spots! You can also ask for an extension til 11:30. Great staff and very friendly! Worth the stay

We lived in aliso for almost 10 years and I come back once a month for business and our family has always stayed here. Even when our a/c went out at our house we came here to the pool with the kids to cool off. We love it here :)

My brother and his wife and my wife and I booked 2 rooms, and were completely satisfied with every aspect of the experience. The rooms were spacious and well appointed, very comfortable. The continental breakfast was more expansive than expected. Burt what we kept commenting on were the beautiful gardens covering the property which gave such a warm feeling. There are old-growth bougainvillea everywhere - completely surrounding the upper level balconies on one side and trained to grow far up many trees on the site. Walking the Lodge's pathways was a real delight!

Regarding our gardens we have 350 varieties of roses, 450 rose bushes overall; plus 80 bougainvillea / clematis. Spring and Summer are great times to see the flowers.
