“Wonderful, yummy Italian restaurant”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

We found this place in the heart of Laguna Beach on a side street. The restaurant menu looked good and it was busy, so we decided to give it a try.
Now it is one of our favorite Italian restaurants!
The wait was shorter than expected. The place is decorated great. It is a busy, fun atmosphere. We had a great table in the front. Great for people watching as well
The food was excellent!!
We started with the Bruschetta Al Pomodoro. Excellent!
The other entrees we thought were great were the special scallop dish of the night, the Margherita pizza and my favorite the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. One of the best fettuccine dishes I have ever eaten.
The service was excellent. Our waiter was great and so friendly.
Will go again and again.

“Really good food and service”
Reviewed July 27, 2012

I went with friends twice in June 2012. Both times were for breakfast. I had the meatball omelette both times and my friend had their famous french toast. Yummy, yummy, yummy. I'm an omelette lover and it was great to try one I had never had before. The service was also very friendly and attentive.

My friend loved their french toast as well.

“Tries hard to look Italian”
Reviewed July 9, 2012 via mobile

We love Italian food and this restaurant although tries hard it is not at par. The food was greasy and heavy. It had nothing from the freshness and Italian flavor. Too bad because the location is good.

“Nice evening, great food and noisy.”
Reviewed June 14, 2012

We were very happy with our evening here. The ambiance is lively (and loud) and the decor is an interesting mix of modern and traditional, it is comfortable. The tables are close but it's not as bad as others I have seen.
Upon arrival at about 8 pm on a Thursday we thought for sure we would have to wait, but they had a table for two for us right away, so it 's worth a try. The service is attentive, well informed and helpful.
They do have a full bar but no bar menu, which is a shame - they could probably sell some lovely Italian cocktails with Prosecco or something similar and do quite well. The mixed drinks we had were below average, far too much ice and it tasted like no name brand mixers - very poor quality.
For our meal we had Zucca (butternut squash ravioli) which was good but not crazy good. Fragole (beet and mixed green salad) this was very good, nice flavor combination. Papparedelle Al Sugo D'Agnello (ribbon shaped pasta with slow roasted braised lamb shoulder) - wow, was this good. It was not overly rich, but we were glad to have shared as the portion was quite large and too much for one person.
An excellent meal in a lovely town - recommended!
One last note that is not necessarily the fault of the restaurant; there were at least 3 strollers with infants here wailing on and off while we were there - if you're reading this and considering the same, please spare the rest of us and get a babysitter!
