The Cliff Restaurant offers spectacular views in a casual setting. The menu offerings are diverse, with numerous appetizers, large plentiful salads, burgers, sandwiches and of course a variety of seafood items. On this last visit it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon. They do not take reservations, but you can call an hour in advance to be put on a preferred seating list. We called at 1:00, arrived just before 2 and were seated about 20 minutes later. Those who were walk-ins at the same time had a 90 minute wait. The Cliff is set up on a large piece of property that includes 6-8 cottage type artisans shops, so while you're waiting you can wander through them. We had a wonderful server, Connor - he was friendly & made very helpful menu suggestions. We started with their speciality warm crab dip - very yummy and packed with crab. Then we all enjoyed a cup of delicious & hearty clam chowder. We greatly enjoyed our entrees and all of them were very plentiful portions. The coconut shrimp was tender and the mango/papaya sauce for dipping tasty. Two of us had salads and we both added seared ahi to them & were amazed at the large portion of fish & for only $7 up charge. My salad was butter lettuce with pears, dried cranberry, candied pecans & gorgonzola - a party of flavor! The other salad was a spinach salad with strawberries, feta & candied pecans. Considering the amazing locale & the portions we found the pricing to be quite reasonable. I look forward to returning possibly during an evening when they have live music.
