We have stayed here twice to celebrate family milestones with my extended (24 people) family.

You can watch directly to the beach from the hotel without worrying about the safety of small children. The staff -- especially the owner -- are incredibly friendly and helpful, which was much appreciated by this insomniac. We walked to several local restaurants and the "downtown" area of Laguna, which is really one big tourist trap.

We enjoyed using the top patio for the view and wine drinking. The owners let us bring in my father's homemade wine without any fuss.

We loved the location and the feeling of having a huge family home on a beautiful beach for a weekend.

We were driving back to Los Angeles from spending the holidays in San Diego and were saw the rooftop bar and thought it would be nice to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset. We called the hotel and were offered a great rate on a newly renovated themed room with ocean views. We decided to stay for the night on a whim. The staff was so nice and friendly. We had our dog and they even accept pets. We had such a great time at the hotel that we have been back several times since. We even brought in the New Year at La Casa Del Camino. The rooms are all different themed and so cool. The restaurant has amazing food and it reasonably priced. The views from the rooftop bar are priceless. I recommend the sangria. I am in the hospitality industry and work at a luxury. I think this is a great hotel with great staff. Highly recommended.

Staff nice on phone / at desk not very welcoming. Free parking caddy corner behind a building. Lobby loud for late Wed night. Room not where/what asked for - very small & main window opened to highway & above outdoor bar - not quiet. Quaint room/bed w/ceiling fan provided nice comfy sleep. Could not totally close bathrm window. Old TV set as if in dr's office. Although we already paid for 2 nts, packed up & decided to check out 1 day early at their normal time & voiced dissatisfaction w/person I booked over phone. She did refund for the next night, but I was surprised that since we were planned to stay 2 nights that she offered no other room nor asked what I would like instead/in lieu. Disappointing all around. Will not go there nor will I recommend this hotel. Word of mouth goes a long way.

If you are planning on partying all night this is the place for you because the music in the lobby plays until 2 am and you can hear it in every room. Also, the restrooms for the restaurant/bar are by the rooms so you have a line of drunks waiting outside your room to go to the bathroom and it smells like some did not want to wait any longer so just peed directly in the hallway. There is no seperation for the rooms so bar patrons wonder through the hallways at all hours of the day. I got 0 sleep the night I stayed here and will never return.

We have been to La Casa Del Camino on three occassions. We just love the hotel. We bring our two Yorkies and they are so nice to all of us. The service is wonderful, people are friendly and we love our room that looks onto the ocean. The staff is ownderful. They will take your chairs to the beach and pick them up for you. We go for my birthday and this year the owner sent me flowers, chocolate and champagne to our room. You are right off the beach, wonderful restaurant, great rooftop bar and clean quaint hotel.

Norma and Ashley have been wonderful.

We cant wait to go back again.

If you want quality service from the hotel staff, you will not find it here! Short mexican girl with glasses who claims to pose as the general manager is a joke! Has no skill in customer service.
Our group of 8 decided to leave when she told us not to park at the hotel parking area. This was a rude awakening when we had reservations and when we called the person who took the reservation told us to park there. Hmmm! Management smoking too much weed here?
It's a gamble here! Good luck!

We stayed at this hotel in June '10. We've been to many hotels in Laguna Beach and thought we'd give this one a try since we enjoy the restaurant K'ya in the hotel and the rooftop bar is a fun spot for a drink. Turns out, it was easy to stay here as we enjoyed the above and didn't have to leave the hotel, and the beach was just right below our room. Everything very easy to do without driving or stress....however, the room was terrible. The bed was lousy, the mattress must have been 100 yrs old. The sink for the bathroom was in our room and the shower and toilet in the "bathroom". The television looked to be from the mid-'90's and was mounted up in a corner of our room like it would be in a hospital. Basically, if you do stay here it's not to enjoy the room. It's for other reasons....
Apparently, they've redone 10 of the rooms, all with a different theme. If you want to spend 150+ more a night, you can have one of these rooms. For us, it wasn't worth it for this trip.
Not a bad hotel in terms of free parking, can bring a dog, great location on beach and good restaurant and bar in hotel. Room itself, if not updated, going to be a real let down if you are not prepared for it....
