Positives:
The view is wonderful.
Meal prices are not too unreasonable.

Negatives:
The food was undercooked; the cheese in the burrito was not even melted.
A soft drink costs $2 and is mostly ice. No free refills.
Chairs are uncomfortable.
Service was adequate.

Conclusion:
You are better off grabbing a blanket and a bottle of wine and having a picnic on the beach.

Small plates so we tried a little bit of everything. There was nothing we didn't like. The waitress had great recommendations.

If you're looking for a quiet place to have dinner, this probably isn't the place for you. The location and historic ambiance has a good vibe, so that's probably why it attracts so many people. The rooftop has an amazing view, but it's almost impossible to get a table. I had called to make a reservation, but they told me they don't make reservations for the rooftop... then when I got there, a bunch of tables were reserved, so I don't really know what that was about. Just be prepared to bump elbows the entire time.

We made dinner reservations, and we were seated on-time. The dinning area inside is pretty small, so its just as loud and crowded as the rooftop. Our waitress asked us what we wanted to drink, then walked away before we had the chance to answer, so don't expect the best service either. By the time the food arrived, it wasn't cold but it wasn't hot, so either they have trays of everything just sitting in the back or the waitress took to long to pick up the order. The food was pretty good, though, and the Creme Brulee was amazing!

Biggest downside is that there is only one female and one male restroom on the first floor, so you will be waiting to use the restroom. This is actually the only place that I've been to where the male restroom line is longer than the female restroom line.

Overall, the food was good and it's a pretty cool location, you just need to be ready for crowds.

Followed reviews, and were not disappointed. Had nice window table, this restaurant is in lobby of El Camino Hotel. Unique tapas menu choices, had figs wrapped in bacon, flatbreads, flank steak and tartare, all fabulous. Server was excellent. Menu had many other great options, place had a nice vibe. Also has outdoor roof top bar with nice view of ocean, but it closes at 9 due to proximity with neighboring houses. So go up before your dinner to check it out. Would go back for sure.
