“On a mission to rescue seals, sea lions --GREAT summer camp for kids!”
Reviewed July 9, 2012 via mobile

My 9 year old child attended summer camp at PMMC this year and LOVED it. What an amazing group of humans that care so much about their rescued animals and have a vision for teaching future generations to care for our world, our oceans, and all creatures therein.

We are from the Midwest but made the trip to give our animal-loving kiddo an experience of helping a rescue organization. Definitely worth the trip and effort.

“Quaint Mammal Rescue With Heart”
Reviewed June 20, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I enjoyed this quaint mammal rescue. Shocked to find out it has been in existence for 41 years! Deborah a volunteer spent detailed time with us explaining all the ins & outs of rescue and the adorable elephant seals and sea lions. Bring the kids for an up close view. 2 thumbs up and excuse the pun a big seal of approval!

“Marine Mammal Center - nice”
Reviewed June 9, 2012

Interesting and easy to navigate but nothing out of the ordinary. It is on the small size and when we were there had no entrainment.

Pacific Marine M, Public Relations Manager at Pacific Marine Mammal Center, responded to this review, June 11, 2012
Thank you for visiting Pacific Marine Mammal Center. It should be noted that Pacific Marine Mammal Center is a non-profit hospital for seals and sea lions, and does not feature any form of entertainment for the public. We allow the public to view our recovering patients for free, in order to educate and bring awareness to our mission, and how people can make a difference in the lives of marine mammals. We are not a SeaWorld or Aquarium, and hope to inspire the public by offering a glimpse into the good work that goes on at PMMC, and the second chance that is given to the many patients in our care.

“Moving”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

My wife and I were both moved by our visit and the obvious care shown by the lovely staff. The kids will love it too.
It's free as well but you would have to be a real misery not to leave a donation.

“A pleasure”
Reviewed June 4, 2012 via mobile

This is a small little rescue center but doesn't cost anything if you don't want it to... But you'll probably want to donate something after you see all the cute little sealion pups!
