Great trails down to a beautiful beach. Lots of sand and the ocean is refreshing. This is a great place to play frisbee or smash ball on the beach...or the water is nice and the waves are great to body surf in. It’s pretty sandy on the bottom and there are not many rocks so it’s pretty safe. I highly recommend Crystal Cove State Beach. Steve Concialdi
This was a great beach trip in the middle of our 1-week So Cal stay. Weekdays the place is just not crowded at all in the center areas (looked a lot more crowded near the south entrance). We have come here almost every time we have been in the area and it never disappoints. State park system, so it's always clean. Next year, we'll try to get one of the cottages for 2-3 nights--they are reserved on the reservecalifornia.com site, 6 months out, first-come-first-served.
Great beach because of the unique view . Quick tip when you come out to the beach from the tunnel , go left around the sand dune . Quieter and prettier part of the beach on the cove . This is a CA state park so the feee is a bit steep for a beach visit 15-20 but it’s good for all day . Lear water not too high waves and decent lean sand .
Off the main beach near downtown, the cove's shore embraces you. Waves are warm and gentle in July. Water is crystal clear. You can explore the rocks and ponds left by the tide, or swim and surf. The sun radiates off the half-circle of the cove to create warmth. Perfect.
I visited here a few years back. I loved the cottage's and the beach is nice also. It is worth it to go see this
