This is the best place to walk on a trail or the beach. Don't bring your dog because they'll fine you big-time.

Wide, deep beach for strolls, sunning and sea. It can be a bit of a journey back UP to steps(hence the name...) but well worth it!

Bathrooms are always a bit musty/dirty, but there is an outdoor shower to rinse the salt off you skin....awesome beach for skim boarding, snorkeling, surfing and people watching.

We happened upon Crystal Cove State Park driving from Anaheim to San Diego. If you enjoy beautiful beach views, make the time to visit! We paid $5 to stay for an hour, so we could walk down and explore with the kids. We just relaxed, played in the sand, walked for a short distance along the shore, and were excited to see a few dolphins jumping out of the water. The people who we met during our walk were so welcoming, and encouraged us to visit The Cottages and stay in town for seaside dining. Next time, for sure!

The perfect place to look and explore tide pools at your own time and pleasure. When you walk down to the beach there was a beautiful lookout point where you could see Catalina Island and the boats going to and fro. But parking was $15 an day, but worth it. One of the places where you can get away from the Southern Cal rush.
