“Good walk on the beach under the bluff.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

This is my first time visit. There are several access from the bluff or the parking lots to walk down to the beach, either by narrow sandy pathway & stairs or steep incline roads. The cliff edges are roped off for safety reasons. The park is very well maintained, clean, proper indications/directions. The tidal pools are very interesting for the young and not so young to explore. There are some interesting rock formations with caves at one end of the beach.

“Crystal Cove family visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

It is a little tricky to navigate the trail for young kids or those in below average health. Once you get on the beach it is very quiet. Bring your own food and snacks as there are no vendors or places to buy food from. Kids enjoyed the waves and tidal pools with small fish and hermit crabs.

“Great beach walk.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

The park was beautiful; a great walk. The Cove cottages are still under renovation so there is not so much to see, but would be a fun place for lunch or a drink by the water.

“Magical Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2013

I just returned from my first trip to Crystal Cove - what a magical place. October was a great time to go because the weather was perfect and not a lot of people. We parked and took the bus over ($1 a person). Parking is $15, but if you have a receipt from The Beachcomber Restaurant parking is free. We stayed about four hours. It is interesting to see how they are restoring the cottages. It's a place that easily takes you back in time. Leave your electronics behind - they don't belong in this timeless place called Crystal Cove. Just enjoy the sounds of the waves and warm sand on your feet. Great mental therapy.

“Favorite Beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2013

We take our boys there several times a year. It's our favorite beach. The tidepools are a lot of fun and very interesting and the boys enjoy building sand forts. Views are beautiful. Bring your camera, picnic lunch, and plan on spending the day here.

Note: This is a state park and the entrance fee is high ($15). Also, the walk from the parking lots to the beach can be long, come prepared for a bit of a hike.
