“Good food, service, and atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

We were on our last day visiting CA and decided to go out for a Family Sunday lunch. Walked in off street and seated right away (got lucky because it was very busy). Host and server were very friendly, helpful. Blackened Halibut sandwich tasted great with just enough Cajun spices. Chicken pot pie was had nice favor with moist, tender chicken. Cioppino was the best with bouillabaisse that was just perfect! It was a perfect meal just before we headed to LAX to fly home to cold, wet, and misery. Recommend highly!

“Ok, maybe a little better than average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

Went by TripAdvisor's recommendation. Read the reviews and decided to make sure we stopped. Food was good, better than average. The bar does dominate the whole main room and if it isn't your thing, everything falls a little flat here. Employees seemed to have a slight attitude, nothing in your face, just that customers are not that important.

Again, I would say food is "good to very good", service was ok, but I expected more. On a return trip I would give something else a try before I gave it a second chance.

“not number one”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013

food was good. atmosphere ok, until rowdies at bar, which dominates the entire dining area by being at the center, took over. no one intervened. we had a tough time getting the overly busy and harried staff to respond when we wanted to add to our order.

“Really Really Good”

I had read about the restaurant on Trip Adviser and had the Halibut sandwich with brussel sproats...amazing! A local told me to try the deep fried asparagus...next time!
