“Most Iconic Beach Town in Southern California”

This is it! The best beach views in the state. Dine at the beach side restaurants. Stroll down the street’s and you will find art ,eating and quaint shops... this place has it all. Go early and parking is no problem and do not miss walking down through Heisler Park. Love this area so much!

“Overated, hyped up dirty beach.”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

After driving to California all the way from Vegas, we were really looking forward to going to Laguna beach.

It was such a disappointment! There were piles of seaweed all along the coastline with flies buzzing around it - making it i! There were other sea 'creatures' trapped within the huge mounds of seaweed. Water was freezing cold at 1pm. Sunbathing was ok for 20mins until some pigeons and even bigger birds were near us eating the rubbish other people had left. Plenty of other pigeons on rooftops near beach - we couldn't relax so left to visit shops. Nothing really worth buying. Should mention we parked on a little side street near the coast - free parking.

I would seriously not recommend going to this beach as it was quite dirty with rubbish / food / empty wrappers everywhere and we couldn't relax due to the amount of birds on the beach. Go to Santa Monica beach - much cleaner!

“Must see - Pageant of the Masters **UNBELIEVABLE- Must See**”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

This event only takes place once a year during the summer and to me it's once in a lifetime experience. According to the locals, there is nothing like this anywhere else in the World. This is a very popular tradition in Laguna Beach and has been presented for 80 years.

During the show, real-life people stand-still to recreate famous paintings, movie scenes and works of art. The people that recreate these scenes are volunteers (not professional actors). The theme changes every year. If you are lucky enough to be in town (or plan to) make sure you get our tickets. This show defies imagination. This is one of those things that you have to see it to believe.

Some useful tips:

- Bring binoculars even if sitting close to the stage, so you can appreciate the details (they also rent binoculars at the venue for $10). This is specially important and the further from the stage you are the bigger the need to bring binoculars.
- Wear warm clothes and closed toe shoes as it gets chilly at night time. Some families would bring blankets and share to keep warm.
- Get there early and buy tickets in advance. They sell-out pretty quickly.

“The Beach”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Don't go to the beach at Laguna Beach! Just come back from a holiday there and I don't know what the local authority is playing at, but the beach is piled up with stinking, rotting piles of seaweed covered in blowflies. It is absolutely vile and has completely ruined what was once their best attraction. Why don't they clean it up?
