“Good breakfast and take-out”
Reviewed May 31, 2014

I enjoy the handy service of lunch take-out when I do not want to dine in. Although we do not usually frequent the bar, my husband watched sports on the TV in the bar since it was not available in our room TV. Found it convenient.

“Cold Beer and Great Burgers”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

26 is fantastic after a hot sweaty tennis lesson. What's not to like about an ice-cold Abita Springs beer and a fantastic hamburger? I forget the name of the burger, but they also put a roasted red pepper on it. Wonderful.

“Best food and beverage option at La Quinta Resort”
Reviewed May 27, 2014

If your staying at LQR this is the best F/B option. Of course it will be crowded and crazy at feeding times. Some guests and their "entitled" bratty kids (rude and pushy) act very poorly to the staff who work very hard and deliver a high quality product consistently. It is not cheap but the value is readily apparent to anyone who regularly stay at 5 star properties. I had the Bagel and Lox breakfast sitting at the bar (easier to get a seat) and it was delicious. It had mounds of Lox, a beautiful fresh tomato, red onion and capers. At $14 it was as good as anything in NYC.
Buy the kids a burrito from the stand in the courtyard or make them act like the lucky kids they are to be there in the first place.

“Very disappointing and horrible service.”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

The first waiter we interacted with actually rolled his eyes at us. That was followed by a flat gin and tonic that my friend had to walk back to the bar, herself, because none of the 4 waitstaff hanging around would notice our frequent waves for assistance. Dinner was fine, overpriced, but fine and when looking, again, for our waitress to order some wine, we stopped another waiter to ask if he could help us, (the eye-rolling one) and he told us, "No you need to speak with your waitress." He did not offer to help us get her, or offer to take our order and relay the information to her. The restaurant was not busy. The timing was so off. As a former hostess, waitress and restuarant and hotel manager, I was shocked and supremely disappointed. Is this not a multiple star resort? Stick with the pool bar food, at least the service was friendly.

“Mediocre food, awful service”
Reviewed May 4, 2014

Avoid! We started in the bar, where I got a completely flat gin and tonic and had to return it myself because, while there were many servers idling around, no one was paying attention. We moved on to dinner, and while the food was fine (not great), the service was once again completely off, and everything was overpriced for the level of quality. Ambiance is really generic. So all in all, pretty bad!
