“OUtstanding!!!”

If I could give this 6 stars, I would. A cozy restaurant that serves small plates, the food is some of the best in the desert. Excellent wine list and (since I don't drink beer) seems like a good beer selection as well. If you're in the desert, don't miss this!

“Memorable Meal - Small Hidden Gen”
Reviewed June 9, 2013 via mobile

Four of us dined here Saturday night. Amazing menue of unique food tastes and wine labels you have never heard of (at least we had not heard of most of them). We had a fantastic bottle of Grayson Cellars Zinfandel (& ordered a 2nd), with Santa Barbara Pizza, Root Beer Short Ribs, Shripm & Grits, Angus Sliders, and Tenderloin Tacos. None of us could decide which dish was the best - we loved them all. The pizza was large enough for each of us to have 1-1/2 slices. Sliders and tacos were 2 per order, so 2 orders were necessary to give each of us one. The other dishes, while small plates, were large enough for the 4 of us to share. Make a reservation: Saturday in June with temps above 100 and the place was packed.

“Ho-hum, disappointing”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

We love sharing tapas when we go out with friends, so we thought this restaurant sounded like a great new place. It was okay, but we won't bother going back again. The menu isn't really that extensive or diverse. We tried the sliders with some kind of barbecue sauce - okay but not remarkable. The spring rolls were bland which is normal but instead of an interesting or tangy sauce, it came with a sweet dipping sauce that really didn't add anything. The sausage risotto, special that night, was tasty enough but pretty scant on sausage bits. The cheese plate was also unremarkable, again with a sweet honey sauce. They have a number of unusual pizza which we didn't try, because we really weren't looking for a pizza place. They have a diverse wine list of unknown names. The service was average at best. Basically, the whole experience was unremarkable, nothing to make this place special or worth visiting again.

“Adventure in food”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

If you enjoy small plates and some interesting pairings of food and wine, try this place. Food preparation is excellent but you might go away hungry unless you try several items...and that bill does add up quickly. Well worth a try for the adventurous.
