Had a very good meal and service was terrific. Menu provides ample choices and the restaurant ambiance was very nice and inviting. Would definitely go there again and recommend it to others.

We walked around beautiful Old Town La Quinta and we spotted Solano's with its Trip Advisor Owl Sticker in the window and we knew we had to try this establishment. The weather was a "balmy" 114 degrees, and wanted to escape the heat, and were extremely impressed with this restaurant, lounge. I felt like I was in an authentic upscale resort restaurant in Mexico. Beautifully designed, fine art, and nice ambiance. The washrooms are gorgeous, clean, and so Central American!

We chose a high bar table by the window in the lounge, had the pleasure of attentive servers, and a wonderful, friendly, fun bartender, James, treated us like family. It just so happened we were there during happy hour, and had the most delicious Kobe Beef Sliders, and fresh halibut cilantro fish tacos. James makes a mean Silver Patron Margarita, and cannot wait to return to try their dinner menu.

You will love the food, service, ambiance, and sublime staff. Outdoor seating with mister fans, and beautiful views of Old Town.

Good service, comprehensive menu, good value on local wine. My husband loved the pork chop with apricot chutney, and I loved the prawns & scallops. We shared peach crumble for dessert. All good!

It was OK - but not much more. Service was good, but the food was lacking. Crab cakes appetizer - 2 small cakes with loads of crab, but not much flavor. Over priced for what we got. The pecan encrusted sand dabs were presented beautifully and a healthy portion, but lacked flavor and were a bit greasy. Lots of salt and pepper helped, but not much. The risotto was very good. My husband had the chicken sausage pasta. More flavorful, but very greasy tasting. Neither of would go back or recommend.

We took TripAdvisor’s advice and ate at Solano’s. My wife and I had the scallop/shrimp in pomegranate/butter sauce. It was certainly the best seafood meal that we have ever had, and we’ve had plenty. The place is not too big and the service was fine (until a group of 15 had to be served). I suggested this restaurant for a larger group on another day and all were very pleased. If you are in the area, don’t miss this place.
