Description: Brasserie [bras-uh-ree], the French term for brewery, refers to an unpretentious restaurant that serves drinks and classic Parisian bistro food. La Brasserie Bistro & Bar is an authentic French bistro that juxtaposes sophistication, charm and casualness with a high-energy environment. Patrons are enveloped by the authentic style and comfort from the moment they walk through the door. The menu features fresh and traditional bistro cuisine prepared by the highly experienced, award winning French chef and owner, Emmanuel Janin. The chef/owners’ European influence is evident in every aspect of La Brasserie Bistro & Bar. From the ambiance, to the courteous service, and of course the food and wine; this family owned and operated bistro will be everyone’s favorite neighborhood eatery. The goal of Emmanuel and Kara Janin is to bring a traditional French bistro to La Quinta, and it’s called La Brasserie Bistro & Bar on the southwest corner of Highway 111 and Washington Street

Feels like a neighborhood restaurant, the food and service were worth a visit. Enjoyed the trout and of course the wine! I have been to this french bistro twice but have had the same dish so can not comment on the other main courses. Everyone in our party of 4 seemed pleased.

Went here with my husband & visiting niece and nephew. The restaurant is a charming bistro & we were excited to have some really good French food.
The bread was great. Warm & served w/ unsalted butter & French sea salt. Wish I could say the same about the rest of the meal.
We started with the charcuterie plate. The server told me there was cheese on it. There wasn't. The meats & pates were okay, but nothing to rave about. We also had a Caesar salad, fried goat cheese salad & salmon gravlax. Again, all OKAY. But still we were excited about the entrees.
The pork chop was served w/ a salty sauce & the chipotle mashed potatoes had NO chipotle. The Seared Ahi Nicoise was not grade A tuna & the dressing was uninspired. The vegetable gnochi was tasteless & the gnocchi was NOT house made.
I must say the grilled asparagus was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked & smoky from the grill.
If we go back, we will sit in the bar. Have some wine, bread & try the mussels. But dinner? No.

This is my favorite restaurant in La Quinta. It has exceptional french food served in a beautiful restaurant for very reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. My favorite meal is the Musscles served with truffle fries. It doesn't get any better than that! They serve a generous amount of Musscles and the truffle fries are outstanding! Lunch is as good as dinner.

We dined for the first time in this restaurant with friends who live in La Quinta. We have never had a good meal in that area apart from Sirocco at the Renaissance Esmerelda. This one was as average as the others. Good food, not too expensive, but no zip...

I had a pleasant lunch here in June that consisted of the GRILLED HANGER STEAK SALAD. The meat was cooked a perfect medium rare and was tender. The salad had a nice collection of textures and a delicious dressing. The portion was a nice size. This was my favorite lunch during the week I stayed in La Quinta.
