Description: It all started 43 years ago when Josephine & Sam (Onorato) Agrusa first opened. Since then, Gondola Pizza has served original fresh homemade Italian food. Together with their 3 children, they worked from 4 a.M. To late hours, 7 days a week. As of today, they still work. Some in the office, some in the kitchen and some have opened their own business (North Carolina). All with the same goal - work hard and make the best food. We at Gondola Pizza, owners and workers, thank you for all your support through all these years, and we will be here for many years to come, always making homemade fresh Itailian food

“Best pizza in So. Cal”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

Growing-up in Chicago where the best pizza in the world is plentiful (sorry New Yorkers) I was depressed living in LA as I could find no decent pizza. Until I found Gondola Pizza in La Mirada/Whittier, CA. Good thin crust, tasty sauce and all the toppings are quality. All at reasonable prices.

“Popular neighborhood joint serving yummy food for more than 20 years”
Reviewed August 25, 2011

Gondola is not a fancy place, but it is clean and always busy. Whether it is families, seniors, office parties, the coach treating the little league players, or all the local UPS drivers meeting up for the luncheon special, they do a booming business. You place your order at the counter and pay, and they deliver. There are booths on the sides and big tables down the middle. Venetian style artwork on the walls.

Pizzas are good. Lasagne is to die for. Meatballs are large and tasty and reasonably priced. Most meals come with a salad that include ham, tomato, olives, hot peppers and lettuce, and garlic bread. They do a very nice minestrone soup that is hearty with vegetables.

My family has gone here for probably 12 years, and we often pop in for the lunch special, a huge slice of pizza, salad and drink for $ 5- 6.

Drinks are self service. No delivery. Tons of carryout orders all the time. Free parking. Closed all the major holidays.
