It is free to watch people use the updrafts from Blacks Beach (swimming suit optional) below as they parasail along the cliff with stretches severl miles along the Pacific Ocean coast here. Seagulls (birds) do the same thing. The combination of birds and people makes for an interesting view at times. You can get to the beach below via a steep set of user-made steps (the City of San Diego does not maintain the steps) or drive north several miles to Torrey Pines State Beach Park and walk about three miles to Blacks Beach/Gliderport area.
