Decided to stay here a few nights ago and they had one room left, so we jumped on it.
The hotel isn't too bad. It's definitely dated, but considering you're in downtown La Jolla, the location makes up for most of the hotel's shortcomings. The front desk woman was amazingly kind.
The bathroom was tiny, and the beds were a bit squeaky. Depending on how loud it is outside, you WILL hear cars driving by, but as long as the a/c is turned on (we left the bathroom fan on as well), it's not too bad.
Overall, this place was a good last minute decision, but there's nothing extraordinary about it.
