Got married here and come back every year for our anniversary. Its an amazing place and you won't be disappointed. Also, the drug store burger from the snack bar is the best burger you'll ever have! Also check out the main bar with the fireplace, a great way to spend a fall afternoon.

We were recommended the Lodge by AMEX and they were correct. Excellent lodge, food, rooms and service. Rooms were very comfortable as well as the bed. A really class act! This is a great place to stay.

My wife and I have stayed at a number of very nice hotel properties globally, both for business and pleasure, and have to say this is right up there with the best. From the large rooms, to the architecture, to the fireplaces, the hotel was extremely comfortable and inviting. The food (at both The Grill and A.R. Valentien) and service were also top notch. The Lodge is located next door to the Torrey Pines State Reserve - which offers numerous hiking trails with terrific views of the Pacific - and is close to the the towns of Del Mar and La Jolla with their shops and restaurants. This is a great place for couples, small business groups, and of course golfers! But even if you don't play (which we don't), you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: If you can get a room with a balcony overlooking the golf course - grab it!

Stayed here for 3 nights in October for my sister's wedding. The lodge is absolutely beautiful! It is in the Craftsman style, and its location along the coast in La Jolla is truly spectacular. We stayed in a Palisades room, and found it spacious, with a gorgeous view, large deck, fireplace, incredibly comfortable bed and furnishings, and terrific amenities. The bathroom was huge, with a large soaking tub, separate shower, and a wonderful vanity area. I loved the bath products -- luxurious. And the nightly turndown service was a special touch. We enjoyed breakfast at the main restaurant, and I found the bar area terrific. We had time to get in a run through Torrey Pines Reserve -- how wonderful to have such a beautiful area just next door to the lodge. Many of our friends and family members spent time there as well. My only complaint is that we were so busy with the wedding, we didn't have enough time to enjoy all the Lodge had to offer (spa, pool, etc). We will definitely stay here again!

I've been wanting to stay here for a while and finally did. The staff is amazing, exactly what you'd expect.

Dining
Lunch
I had lunch with a small party in the dining room, outstanding. The staff made great recommendations and everything we ordered was outstanding.

Breakfast
Breakfast was room service and that too was outstanding. It arrived hot, was fresh, presented beautifully and again, tasted great.

Rooms
Very comfortable, nice touches, fully stocked bathroom and the complimentary bottle of water is appreciated.

Overall, not much to change here. I attended a series of meeting and the conference facilities too are well done. I hope to have a reason to come back.

Room Tip: Ask for a view room, or you just look into a courtyard, do t miss a chance to see the golf course an...

We really enjoyed the Lodge at Torrey Pines. It's quite different than a lot of the other SoCal resorts that are light, airy and have plentiful ocean views. It's definitely more lodge-like and feels like you are in the mountains or woods. It has ocean views but they are further off. I think it would be a great resort to visit over the holidays. Service was outstanding and the rooms were cozy.

We loved our recent stay at Torrey Pines. The only downfall is we were not comfortable
driving into La Jolla at night. We had a beautiful deluxe room with a fireplace. The resort is beautiful and you must walk Torrey Pines
Reserve.

Its post-and-beam construction features a natural color palette, graceful wing-like rooflines, shingle and sandstone-bluff exteriors, clinker-brick masonry, rich woodwork and natural stone surfaces. Arrivals are greeted by doormen attired in kilted Scottish dress, while inside are 170 spacious guest rooms and suites designed for supreme comfort. The Lodge’s signature restaurant A.R. Valentien – rated Best Hotel Restaurant in the West by Sunset Magazinein 2015 – is a destination for fresh regional cuisine served in an elegant setting overlooking the Torrey Pines Golf Course. Artisan Table Dinners highlighting farm-to-table fare in a communal setting are offered weekly, while Executive Chef Jackson headlines The Lodge’s annual Celebrate the Craft event, one of Southern California’s premier showcases for regionally grown ingredients and innovative cooking and winemaking. For a more casual vibe, The Grill at The Lodge offers a full menu of favorites whether dining indoors or on the patio, while its bar is an ideal gathering place after a day on the golf course. The Spa at Torrey Pines features signature treatments themed around the beauty and purity of the Pacific coastline. This 9,500 square foot space uses botanical and marine-based extracts from European product lines Phytomer, SkinCeuticals, Farmhouse Fresh and NV Organics to replenish and restore the body and mind. Additional features of The Lodge include a croquet lawn, heated outdoor pool and cabanas, whirlpool, outdoor terrace with chaise lounges, hiking at the adjacent Torrey Pines State Reserve, a fitness center and the Scripps Library, a public space featuring a pool table, board games and more.
