“Good eats for breakfast”
Reviewed July 10, 2014 via mobile

Drove by on a Sunday morning and the line was out the door, so we kept on driving. Came the next day after noon and was seated immediately. I ordered the thick bacon (4 slices: 2 for me, 1 for hubby and 1 for daughter), scrambled eggs and 3 buttermilk pancakes. Daughter had the Two by four - 2 scrambled eggs and 4 pancakes. Hubby had the Best Western omelette with Cheese and hash browns. We enjoyed our meals. Definitely more than enough food for 3 people! Hubby's only complaint was the onions, ham and bell peppers were too finely chopped for his liking. Thanks Jeffrey for giving us great service!

“Noisy, crowded, but a great breakfast”
Reviewed July 4, 2014

Yes you will probably have to wait a while, no you will not be able to hear your dining companion, but the servings are huge, the preparation excellent, the service fast and the price reasonable.

“A Very Special Place”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

A special place... Only open for breakfast and lunch (0630-1430) this very special place opens earlier than any other restaurant in La Jolla Village for the early risers. There speciality is pancakes, waffles and omelets. Large portions and great quality served by a friendly staff. Try their German pancakes they are a delight. Fun for kids and the whole family...and they are pet friendly.

“Awesome”
Reviewed June 21, 2014 via mobile

Richard Walkers brings their awesome food to La Jolla! Yes! Our kids grew up on Walkers brothers back in the Chicago suburbs. Their food is exceptionally good and the s ambiance of this location reminds us of home. It was warm and inviting even though we walked in 3 minutes before closing. If you have the opportunity try them, we've never been disappointed!

“Breakfast - YES!”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

On a recent trip to LaJolla, I was looking for a place to grab a quick lunch with friends and came upon Richard Walker's. Being a big fan of breakfast foods, I went in. What a beautiful place, from the dining area to the stained glass windows to the wonderful selection of background music. My group was greeted with a smile and service was one of the best I have ever had. We sampled each other's dishes - crepes, pancakes and waffles - all outstanding. Oh, did I mention the baked omlets made with only the best fresh ingredients. But what brought us back the next morning for breakfast was the coffee. They have their own blend and how I wish I was able to buy it for at home. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, and you want to get there early (especially on the weekend). If not, be prepared to wait as it is a very popular spot - but soooooo worth it.
