It is perhaps fitting that such a gorgeous 360 vista should honour so many veterans from so many different theatres and battles throughout the ages.... Korea, WW2, Vietnam, Libya, both Gulf combats and Afghanistan.

Enjoy the views and spare a thought for those who fought so hard to allow us all from all over the world to savour such beautiful views with freedom.

It was a great visit, and humbling. It's a great place to see and remember those that have served the Country

This is a special place to recognize our veterans. Very impressed with the venue and the volunteer. The site is a lesson in history.

Mt. Soledad is an awe-inspiring war memorial set atop the highest point in La Jolla, and just minutes from both La Jolla and Mission Bay near San Diego. With a 360 degree view you can see the mountains to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and the beautiful California coastline running north and south. Truly breath-taking. Best view we had all week. The war memorial has names and photos of veterans who lost their lives in every war since the Revolutionary War - amazing! There was an old Lt. Colonel veteran there who donates his time to point out to visitors points of interest that you can see, and to tell a few yarns about his time as a helicopter pilot in the Korean War. I would recommend this attraction for its excellent view of the area and the patriotism that it will inspire in you.

We visited this week. I haven't been here since I was stationed at Miramar, and it was better then I remember. I appreciate a memorial to those who serve our country and the view makes it that much more incredible! Easy to get to and enjoy. We spent an hour at max.
