Take the time to stop and walk the grounds here. It is beautiful and serene. There are friendly missionaries who answer any questions you may have, and who are not at all pushy. No, you can't go inside if you are not Mormon, but just walking the grounds and looking from the outside is an experience in and of itself. I highly recommend it!

I love visiting this temple every time I am in San Diego. It is a gorgeous structure rising out of the hill just off the freeway, and yet when you're standing beside it you can't even tell there's a freeway nearby. The spirit felt there will fill your heart with peace and joy.

We saw the building from the I-5 freeway and were amazed by the archetecture. We stopped to look at the grounds and found some exceptionally beautiful landscaping. This attraction is definitely worth a visit!!!

Remeber - if you are not a morman - you can only walk around the outside. I would not travel to specifically see this building, but if you are headed back to LA or the OC,from San Diego, it's worth a leg stretch. You will have to put up with some missionaries explaining how sacred it is, and why you aren't sacred, so you will be keeping on the lawns only. If you like over the top religious architecture - this makes a nice quick stop. I travel this route often, and have only stopped once, several years ago. Passing by is nice, though.

Everyone needs to stop by and walk the grounds of this sacred place. The outside of the building and the various walkways are perfect for picture taking. There is a special spirit that is there that will give anyone who spends some time a strong feeling of its divine nature. If you are not a member of the LDS faith, you cannot go inside the Temple, but just sitting outside and contemplating spiritual things will be always remembered.
