This is usually where the kids choose to eat while visiting the Zoo. Decent choices at a fairly reasonable price.

During out trip to the zoo, my friend and I had lunch at the treehouse cafe. We both had the cheese ravioli which was alright, but a little bland. It was $13.50 for the ravioli and a cup of coffee, which I thought was a bit much. There were hot (tepid) dishes as well as cold. I was considering a sandwich but they were pre-made. The area was clean though and there were covered tables outside. The staff were friendly and efficient. The best part of the meal were the cookies that my friend bought and shared with me. They were soft and tasty.

Nice selection of food and outdoor seating without the long wait. I would come back here again and glad I found it.

This cafe is located in the middle of the SD Zoo. It looks like a jungle tree, so I was immediately drawn to it. Unfortunately, the food was less than good. My turkey croissant sandwich was mushy and tasteless, as was the pasta my daughter chose. The selection was paltry but since it was too far to go anywhere else except the spendy restaurant downstairs, we stayed. I didn't try other restaurants in the park, but would suggest checking out the burgers in Australia.
