“Great Aloha Hour!”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

We visit Roy's for happy hour when the traffic is too bad to leave La Jolla at 5pm...which happens frequently. They've recently made renovations/upgrades to the restaurant and bar, expanding both areas. Their Aloha Hour/happy hour is a terrific deal. Delicious appetizers and specialty cocktails for $6 each (a Makers Mark manhattan for $6...awesome!). I suggest you sit at the bar and chat with the bartenders; very entertaining & great service.

“Greaat Seafood well presented with excellent service”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

Expensive, so it is for very special occasions if your budget is tight. Portions are small but deliciously done. Close to UCSD.

“Roy's ever changing menu!”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

My husband and I ate at Roy's last night. They have a prixe fixe menu for $36 that can't be beat!
I chose the pork belly appetizer, the hanger steak, and the chocolate souffle. Unbelievably delicious! On Mondays, the prixe fixe menu is everything on their regular menu! Try the jalapeno margarita - yum! Roy's never fails to please!

“Tuna Poke”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

Mmm...just the sight of Roys made me smile. Brought back my wonderful memories from Honolulu last year. I tried the Tuna poke and a sushi roll. Both were superb, and the service was even better!

Powerful flavors. Only go when executive chef is working that night. Ask ahead. Romantic spot. Sushi rolls were great. Desserts awesome. Service even more awesome. Sea bass the best!
