We went to Roy's earlier this week. My wife and I have been to Roy's many times on the Islands. I've also been to several in the USA but we had the in-laws in town for the holidays and brought them here.

All of our meals were really great. Obviously not as fresh as on the Islands but definitely it was great. We were at the Roy's on Kauai a few months ago and really enjoyed our meal.

This location has an island feel to it. Our in-laws all really loved their dishes. The food was cooked to perfection and the service was great. Our water glasses and ice tea glasses were never empty.

As others mentioned, it's a bit on the price side. It's easy to spend money here if you're getting appetizers, drinks, main course and of course the dessert (get the molten lava cake!). But definitely the food is great and the service is great as well which is expected when you spend this kind of money.

Highly recommended.

Enter restaurant to 2 Hostesses with attitude. Asked to sit at the chef's counter, as we have done in Rancho Mirage with the kids and was told it wasn't open. (Counter is great for keeping kids entertained, age 7&13). Had wonderful server Mary, ordered the consistantly awesome 1988 martini's and multiple appetizers from the Aloha Hour (4:30-6:30) menu. Kobe beef sliders w/ sweet potato parmesan fries, Calamari, Lobster Sushi rolls ($5 ea.) were consistantly good. Finished with a dinner to share of Butter Fish (we like to try lots of differant things) it is an extremely delicate white fish, light, very flakey, mild fish that truly melts in your mouth. Had to send the 1st one back, as it tasted fishy.
Only other disappointment was there was no valet & parking can be tough in this mall.

The food was very good - service was good and the prices were a bit more than I thought they should have been for what you got.

We went here because we had a gift certificate. Otherwise, given the strip mall location and being part of a large franchise, I doubt we'd have gone. But we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was actually interesting and very good. The 'fusion' cuisine provided some unusual combinations without being over the top (no 'peanut butter marinaded grilled peppercorn mackerel infused with maple sugar wasabi, on a bed of chorizo inspired ramen noodles soaked in a cabernet reduction, delicately flavored with achiote, ginger, and saffron').

We'll go back, which is the highest compliment I give a restaurant.
