Service was very good. Food good but not memorable, unlike other places we ate during this visit. Ambiance was nice; not too loud and views were lovely if near the windows. Would not return.

This is the place to go for lunch or dinner if you are visiting or have friends visiting the San Diego area. George's overlooks La Jolla and the children's pool. You can even hear the seals from where you're sitting and often sea whale spouts in the distance.

For a more casual experience head to the third floor where you can have appetizers and drinks overlooking the ocean. The second floor is half inside outside and offers a little more intimate setting.

The food and drinks are fantastic , the service is good most of the time. Every now and then you get a snotty hostess or waitress. The prices are reasonable especially for the views.

Had a late evening dinner at George's last weekend on recommendation from some friends. Ate upstairs on the terrace overlooking cove beach.

Location is very nice, right in the village of La Jolla, overlooking the water. Truly a beautiful part of the country, especially if you like 75 degrees and blue skies..every single day of the year!

Meal was pretty good. I had shrimp/ potato gnoche. My wife had a great arugula peach salad and linguini. portions were just about right. Wait staff incredibly attentive. Price point very reasonable for this neck of the woods.

Something to consider if you choose to dine outside in the cove area (and this is no knock on George's at all..just calling it like it is) is that many folks flock to this area because of the number of sea lions/seals that congregate on the beach just below the beach. The scenery is just breathtaking. But so too is the smell from all of the sea lions. It's kind of hard to describe, but if you have a sensitive sense of smell you might want to dine inside because it can be a little too much for some diners. George's has a wonderful bar/indoor dining area with spectacular views.
