Description: George's at the Cove is a renowned three-level dining destination located in the heart of La Jolla overlooking the Pacific Ocean and northern coastline. We offer three distinct restaurant and bar concepts – one fine dining and two casual – with stunning ocean views and award-winning cuisine. Known for its splendid rooftop setting, the popular George’s Ocean Terrace – complete with a newly expanded and elevated bar – offers casual al fresco fare for lunch and dinner that is perfectly complemented by sweeping ocean views. Recently reinvented from floor to ceiling, the all-new George’s Level2 – located on the second level – is elevating the craft of cocktails with housemade ingredients and handcut ice. Featuring all the classics and innovative modern creations, like the signature Sea3, Level2 offers a variety of cocktails well-suited to any taste. On the lower level, George's California Modern is a contemporary fine dining restaurant and bar featuring seasonally-driven California cuisine. Guests are invited to explore “San Diego on a plate” through a la carte or tasting menus inspired by the lifestyle, ingredients and sense of place that is San Diego. Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to enjoy the San Diego lifestyle to its fullest, George’s at the Cove is an essential part of any visit to the region.

“Not bad, too pretentious”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

I enjoyed this place, but they are apparently too proud of their work as the food price did not match with the quality of the food itself. I will not be visiting this place ever again and I would suggest those who don't like to spend excess money on mediocre food to stray away.

“Go For the View and Happy Hour”
Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

The views are some of the best in La Jolla and worth the price of admission. Also, George's soup consistently remains an A+ dish and is worth getting.

The happy hour menu has some great deals and is the better way to go. However, on the dinner menu it says there is a $15 per person food purchase requirement to sit and enjoy the bar view. So plan ahead with your appetite. My wife and I thought the food was very good but the special, beef spare ribs that night, was overpriced for what you got.

Nonetheless, I would recommend George's

“Great Service”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

My husband and I went here on the first night of our honeymoon, and we went back a second time! Our waitress was incredibly nice! She even gave us a complimentary salad, champagne, and chocolates! She talked to us the whole time about ourselves and even wrote a list of places we should see while in San Diego. The food was great too! They have a mixologist there and he makes great and unique drinks, we went back for round two! It was very pricey, but definitely worth it for the experience on our honeymoon!
