Having just returned from Paris, I was eager to eat French food. I was not disappointed by Tapenade. The food was quite good, the wine list was large, and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, the locale has a strip mall feel. To their credit, the owners have tried to make the space as cozy as possible with photographs on the wall, French popular music, and a very attentive staff. Some patrons might like the fact that the tables are far apart so they don't have to hear the conversation of their neighbors, but this feature only accentuates the large concrete space. It just didn't feel, well, Parisian. The food was quite good and very expensive. I would return here but not for a romantic dinner.

Dined twice in three days, delighted both times. On first occasion was treated by natives, one of whom has a serious shake. Waiter took great pains to dispense wine in small portions to avoid spilling, same for the water. Service and food up to highest international standards. We returned for a second experience, compared favorably with Le Grand Vefour. Regret unable to try a dessert due to overeating prior.

This white linen restaurant offers a wonderful dining experience from the moment you are greeted through the entire meal. Fantastic servers are always there but never noticeable. The food is a delightfully prepared with simply elegant flavors in perfect portions.

he service at Tapenade was very attentive without being intrusive. The meal started with a complimentary canapé, a bite size morsel that was full of promise about how the rest of the meal was going to taste. The tapenade offered with the bread was delightful and the bread crispy on the edges, soft in the middle. The waiter was very helpful when it came to choosing a wine. We told him the type of wine we frequently enjoy, and he advised us that Bordeaux would be similar in flavor. The Bordeaux was excellent. My escargot appetizer was a perfect balance of butter, garlic, basil and other herbs. My companion’s duck roll appetizer was equally balanced. I had the filet in peppercorn sauce, cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The peppercorn sauce was present, added flavor and did not overpower the steak. My companion had the duck entrée, which was a delightful combination of subtle flavors and was paired with mashed potatoes. Nice evening out and fun way to celebrate our time together.
