“Average.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2014

The food and service were average - definitely not worth the high prices. I suggest dining here during happy hour only. Beware, there isn’t a menu for happy hour drinks. Make sure to ask if your drink is on the happy hour special before ordering.

“Wonderful brunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2014

Great, friendly service with a wonderful street-side table. Food is excellent and imaginative. The hash had a crispiness to it that was truly memorable.
It'll be on the short list for our next visit.

“Ok food, terrible bar service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2014

Met for dinner and then drinks to follow the other night. Our table server was awesome - personable, great recos. Food was decent. The dessert (churos) were amazing
We moved to the bar afterwards and the service was awful. When they actually took our order it was wrong every time. Not the brightest staff.

“Very good experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2013

Went to the "Viva" only because I got great deal from Travelzoo: any four drinks and two tapas for two for $39, and I have to say that it was great experience. My wife and I, we ordered mojitos first and they were excellent, very refreshing. They add some cucumber to mojito and it gives very unique flavor, we both like it. We ordered two tapas, one spicy mussels and they were fantastic and then some combination of excellent cheeses and cols cuts. Definitely very tasty, and presented in a very nice way. Service: very attentive and welcoming ( Thank You Danika, you are a very nice person). The restaurant: very nice décor, definitely you see the attention to the details including nice bathrooms.
Very highly recommended!

“Cool spot, great service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

Stopped here for some after dinner drinks and to watch football on our first night in San Diego. They had some awesome and really interesting hand made drinks. Our bartender was great and the manager also introduced himself and was very friendly. He mentioned the Sunday brunch so I came back to check it out and watch more football. The food was terrific and the manager was there again and spent at least 20 min talking about good places to check out while in town and also places to avoid. His tips were spot on and I really appreciated his insight. He also hooked me up with a free bloody mary! The place is new and the crowd was steady but not crazy busy. Hope this places makes it so I can come back next time I'm in town.
