Stayed for two nights in a little cottage, extremely clean and well mantained. The owner showed us around and explained what to visit in La Jolla, really lovely lady. I can recommend to stay here as it its very close to all the attractions, quiet and peaceful place to stay. Coffee and cookies provided complementary in the room.

Cottages are absolutely amazing. Walking distance to everything nearby including beach. Also love the full kitchen and BBQ area in front. Staff is amazing. Definitely coming back and staying here on my visits.

This place is just gorgeous, we stayed 3 nights but wish we had longer. Loved the little courtyard and all the gardens. Super comfy bed and all the facilities you'll need. I did think there would be breakfast as it's called a B&B but they don't actually advertise it, I just assumed. There are plenty of places to eat nearby though and a supermarket close by too. Just a short walk to the beach, rock pools and seals. Would recommend to any couples wanting a beach getaway.

We booked here to get away from the bustle of downtown San Diego. Great decision for those who want the peace after a busy day at the zoo.
La Jolla is the perfect location as it has everything you need within walking distance of Redwoods and an easy drive into the city when you want to. It's also really close to the beach only a couple of minutes walk away and you can see the seals lying there in the sun
The. cottage we had was perfect for the two of us with a fully equipped kitchen and a good sized bedroom relaxing area. The site also has laundry facilities which are very useful when you've been away for a week or more.
Very comfortable quiet and convenient location. Highly recommend it.

The cottages are a throwback to about the 1950's; however, they were originally built in 1921 and therefore are considered "historic" so do not expect upgrades. Having said that, I love these little cottages, tucked away among more modern buildings. They are comfortable; include a modest kitchen; a semi-private area in front of your cottage to sit; and most importantly they are close to the beach. The host was able to accommodate an early check in and were helpful. Having said that, I would recommend that the information book in the room be updated to include more information regarding accessible beaches as well as more information on local restaurants and attractions.

Thank you for your sweet review. Our cottages were actually built in 1915, so are 102 years old, and we do our best to update and decorate them while keeping the historic flavor of the property. We're glad you found the cottage comfortable and hope to have you come again sometime soon! Based on your suggestion to update the information in the concierge binders in the rooms, we have begun working on that and appreciate the suggestion. :-)
