We just returned from a week at Redwood Hollow. It was the perfect place to use as a base to explore La Jolla. We explored the tide pools every day--they are only a block away from the cottages. The huge living room was perfectly decorated and a great place to relax when the night got chilly on the private patio. The courtyard was a great place to unwind in the early evening. The beds were soooo comfortable---and the kitchen had everything we possibly needed, even an extra corkscrew for sampling the California wines. All of the appliances are full sized, so cooking for a family would be very easy, although many restaurant are only a few blocks away--a very safe, easy stroll in the evening. Although the off-street parking is very limited, we never had a problem parking on the street--there were always plenty of spaces to park on this very quiet street.
