Description: Over 24 years ago, we stumbled onto a sleepy little restaurant called the Cottage La Jolla. The restaurant was a local hangout and had a reputation for delicious food and friendly, personal service. Since 1992, our business has exploded, and in late 2009 we finished a complete renovation of the restaurant. Improvements include a handicap lift & restrooms, expanded kitchen & a fresh, new look. What hasn't changed is our passion for serving tasty, classic American & Southern California influenced food. We are also proud of the many servers, bussers and cooks that have been with us for years & years. We are often asked how we are able to operate two restaurants on different coasts, and our response is, "It's all about the people." Please take a moment to say hello to our Manager, Michael Harrison, on your next visit. Welcome to the Cottage!

Excellent location. All the food is fabulous. Get the stuffed french toast with fruit on top. Be careful parking. Just outside the restaurant is only 1 hour.

We just had lunch at the Cottage and it was as good as it has always been. This place is delightful and we love the breakfast foods. I love the cookbook and have cooked alot of the recipes from here also. Go there!

We waited 50 minutes on a Saturday because of the ratings here on TA. It was well worth the wait. We sat on a bench outside and watched all the activity in this nice area of La Jolla, CA. Time flew by. We enjoyed a seat on the patio and awesome food and service.

Perfect place for breakfast! Very charming inside and outside, great place for great food and wonderful location.

Note: we called and they said they don't allow dogs. when we arrived there was a small dog on the patio and it was not a service anaimal.

Our visit was great! We were told to expect a line/wait, but we managed to slip in early enough to be seated immediately. Our omelettes we great and the service was quick and polite. My omelette was a little heavy on the guacamole, but other than that our breakfast on Cottage's patio was perfect!
