“I can't rave enough!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2012

We had an excellent lunch at this small restaurantm, on the way down to the beach. We walked passed it twice and then finally went in as a particular table on the patio took our fancy. If only we'd realized how good the food would be! Lobster salad roll was the highlight but everything was delicious. The waiting staff were so friendly that we sat longer and ate more than we planned to, so well done them. I will be recommending this place to anyone who will listen.

“Great lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2012 via mobile

We were looking for a light lunch and were very happy with this choice. Between the two of us we had the lobster salad roll (well, maybe not the lightest choice) and the grilled salmon salad. Nice view of the bay on the deck.

“A great breakfast out, with a view!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2012

A lot of locals know Cody's. Great little spot in La Jolla for breakfast (other meals too!) My new favorite breakfast out is Cody's crab benedict - like eggs benedict but a crab cake instead of Canadian bacon. I have had crab cakes in the past that had too much breading so I was hopeful as I ordered this dish that the crab cakes under the eggs were more crab than bread. They were very seriously absolutely delicious! We took the whole family (adult kids) to this breakfast and everyone loved their choices, including one family member who ordered a lunch selection. (It was a chicken sandwich - grilled, as I recall.) My daughter ordered and loved the French toast.

Note - if you sit on the outdoor patio, you can bring a well-behaved dog. Then take your dog for a walk by the La Jolla Cove. Great weekend morning!

“A hidden jewel in La Jolla”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012 via mobile

Cody's was a refreshing place to come across. Almost hidden, but offers a great view of park/cove area. Food was excellent and reasonably priced for the La Jolla area. Great fish and chips that are prepared with a light Panko crust. Nice selection of micro brews. It really was a hidden jewel.

Trendy, well decorated and located with a great view of ocean. Breakfast was great, fresh with trendy gourmet accents. Well priced and a relaxing setting. Try the French Toast! Fantastic!
