Pulled into La Jolla yesterday after a beautiful, but grueling 2day 600 mile ride down the PCH from SF. Tired and hungry, we decided to walk from our LJ B&B to eat something. Stumbled on this place around 6 pm and could not have been happier. Thin crust, custom designed pizzas cooked perfectly in 700 degree wood fired oven. Great tangy marinara sauce, and ample beer and wine-by-the-glass were all reasonably priced. Service was attentive but unobtrusive. Highly recommended. Considering the pricey location, I would give it 5 stars in value alone. Overall couldn't quite give excellent rating because after all it is still just pizza.
