“Views of Torrey Pines Golf Course, fancy casual food with excellent professional service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2014

We arrived at sunset with ocean fog rolling in. We dropped our car in valet parking ( it was free with dinner) and strolled through the lodge and with some help found the Grill; it has outdoor and indoor space with great furniture and views. No table clothes , families, couples and friends . Excellent bread and butter. Nice glass wear , A young very well trained and knowledgable waiter brought menus . I chose a flight of local craft beers to go with a fresh fresh salad and Coq au bier: I got 6 nice size glasses of beer and a small size chicken stew with roasted root vegetables in a tasty beer sauce. My husband had fish poached with arugula, pepper and delightful sauces.
I will back for the food, the service and the setting!

“The grill not the restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2014

Standard food, fabulous staff, rather costly $50 for a burger, sandwich, 2soft drinks and a latte, and the latte was made with very stale coffee...tasted like soggy cardboard.

The food is excellent; fresh and distinctive! I like the fact that they use local ingredients as much as possible.

Delicious, elegant dinner. We were staying at the Lodge and had a wonderful dinner here for Christmas. I hope to go back one day.

“Breakfast is boss”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2014

Had our New Years Day breakfast here. Dined on the outdoor porch. Don't miss the homemade donuts.

Ricotta/lemon pancakes were terrific. I apologetically forget the other items we ordered since I didn't write it down and it was two weeks ago ---- but I would go back again. Highly recommend.
