La Jolla cove was beautiful with lots of seals and a gorgeous sunset! Beautiful homes to look at too :) I recommend Eddy Vs for sunset dinner after seal watching. Wear sandals!!!!

We've been here before and probably on a weekday morning. However this past Saturday was a madhouse with nowhere to park. This area has so many high-end shops that it makes for a great shopping area but its not a stop for a peaceful walk or sitting to view the ocean. There are much better places for that.

I had always wondered about la jolla. Seeing the cove with the seals and sea lions was amazing. They are completely accustomed to humans. Lots of great restaurants on top of the hill

La Jolla beach is “nice”. But not much of a beach during pupping season. The beaches are closed to protect the seal pups which is great. You can view the seals and pups from a safe (for them) distance. We had binoculars which were great. The beach drive road is sprinkled with pretty homes. You can walk along the road/ beach. Nice as a stop along the scenic drive.

This is a really neat detour out of the main areas of San Diego, and totally worth it. The views of the sea lion population and the coast was beautiful, and it’s surrounded by a fun area with local dining and shops.
