Looked good from the outside with lots of customers but pastries were disappointing and service was very slow. However lady hostess did rearrange the seating to get us a table for three so gained an extra mark for that.

The pastries are just spectacular. Ignore the calories and indulge. The main courses are actually pretty good as well. The service is excellent. The vibe is great.

Good dinner on a great little patio but a little pricey for what you get. I had the sea bass which was good but dry. The taste was very good but again it was dry. 2 adults and 3 kids, no drinks no desserts and 86 bucks.....I don't know.....service and staff were quite friendly.

We stopped in Aroma after walking a long way down the main street in La Jolla looking at lots of restaurants. We weren't all that hungry, but wanted something light. We both had soup and an appetizer and were very pleased with all of it. Our service was good. While we were waiting for our food to come out I looked the place up on Yelp and saw several comments about slow service, but then our food came out quickly and our waitress was very friendly. My only complaint is that, even though there weren't a lot of customers there, it felt very crowded. They could lose a few of the tables and spread things out a bit so it doesn't feel like you're smushed in.

We were very pleased with the food, service, location, and atmosphere. We shared very large avocado egg rolls and a hummus plate to start and both were very good. The entrees that we had were chicken/avocado sandwich, ahi salad, burger, and shawrma wrap. Everyone was very pleased with their selections.

The service was very good!
