We researched other companies and are so glad we chose OEX/Everyday California for our Kayak tour. We have three young teens and a 7yo that all had a blast! We did not have any coupons, just called to book. Get there early as things take awhile to set everyone up and parking was not a problem for a weekday morning tour using the parking directions given by OEX. No locked storage (cubbie) so only bring what you need--a towel and flip-flops. We opted not to rent wetsuits and we were fine. You do get wet from water splashing into the kayak and possibly tipping on the way in from the waves, but it's shallow. Our tour guide, Lucia, was knowlegeable about the history of the area and oh so mello...Luckily we had a small group of 10 and the water conditions that day DID allow us to go inside the caves which was amazing! Everyone is still talking about how fun this was.

We took some out of town family on a kayak tour, something I'd never done in La Jolla even though I've lived in San Diego county for 7 years! It was a great trip and a great value. Highly recommend late afternoon or morning kayak and then lunch in La Jolla - a perfect day! Molly, Lindsey, and Ryan were our instructors and were all wonderful - Molly in particular was engaging, enthusiastic, and fun. We'll definitely go through OEX again to rent kayaks in the future.

There were 3 of us, two adults and a 10 year old and we had a blast. Since the kayaks are tandem, I ended up paddling with the guide in the front. She was great! It was tons of fun- we saw lots of sea lions, fish, cormorants, and pelicans on the trip. The guides pointed out jellyfish and shared lots of interesting information with us about the sea walls and history. The caves are super cool and you get to go inside them and check them out. A big daddy sea lion was in one barking at us- hilarious. The whole trip was spectacular and the guides were great at helping people who needed the extra help, including one kiddo who ended up getting a little seasick. A couple of things to know about the trip: you have to wear a helmet the whole time which is hilarious, but a little confining. You have to paddle in and out in the surf and the boat is a bit tippy. We ended up falling out on the way back in which was a hoot, but not at all dangerous because it's so shallow. They give you wet suits so you stay toasty in the chilly water. The kayaks are sit on top, so no dry bags- prepare to get wet. Several folks had brought towels and left them on the beach which was smart. The check in process took a while, so get there early. Overall we were very impressed for the price!

Poor service. Deceptive. Highly recommend AGAINST. Purchased a groupon which no blackout dates were specified, although would was not honored.

We had purchased a Groupon for the snorkeling tour with OEX and there were about 5 of us going. We left early so that we could arrive on time, however, parking is horrible in La Jolla and OEX didn't have parking specifically for their customers. We got there just in time, but the guy at the front desk was very rude about it and basically told us we were causing everyone else to be late. Then we had to walk a pretty far distance just to get to the beach where we snorkeled from and the water was freezing. I recommend snorkeling here in August when it is warmer. The worst part about it was the fact that you couldn't see anything under water. It was a waste of money if you ask me. Some people saw sand sharks here and there, but for the most part no one saw anything worth seeing. I've been snorkeling several times before in the Keys and this was by far the worst experience.
