“Fun to walk around”
Reviewed January 14, 2012

UCSD's campus is perhaps not the most spectacular in the country (compared to places such as William & Mary or Univ. of Virginia, for example), but it offers a lot. You can spend a few hours walking around. Get information on the Stewart Collection before you go. This is a public art collection that includes large pieces of experimental and unusual art. Some are weird, some fall flat, some are great fun.

“Explore with a Friend”
Reviewed January 5, 2012

This mountain side campus is large and exciting to explore. I had a great time visiting with my girlfriend at the time and contemplating studying at the famous UCSD.

“Take the walking your of art on campus”
Reviewed December 2, 2011

The art walk is very interesting! If you just wander around you will miss done if the best art do be sure to stop at the visitor's center (off Gilman Drive) for a brochure! You won't be disappointed. Oh, and when you need a break, stop by the student union for a craft beer! Or purchase souvenirs at the bookstore! Be sure to see Geisel Library for truly interesting architecture.

“The is a False Discription”
Reviewed August 13, 2009

I am a student at The University of California, San Diego and let me be the first to tell you that the Mingei International Museum of World Art is not in fact on our campus...It is in Balboa Park about 15-20 minutes away. Though we do have a nice lawn here or there, the main attractions of UCSD for a non-student/non-prospective student would be the Stuart Art Collection which is housed at UCSD, other than that, there isn't a whole lot on campus that you couldn't find at any other major university in the country. Please don't come to visit campus unless you are considering attending or are visiting a friend here. It is too crowded as it is.
