The cave is OK, really didn't see the big deal. What was nice was the coast line. You are on cliffs overlooking the ocean with spetacular views of waves crashing on rocks. The Seals have overtaken the childrens pool area and are great to see you can get upclose to them however, they do have them protected by a rope. But as always, there is a tourist that has to get a selfie with one of them in spite of signs warring that the Mother may abandon her baby is you get too close.

This is a gorgeous view of nature, all around. The view out of the cave, the view of the cave, the view of the ocean...there's nothing like it! Head over to The Cave Shop and pay the small fee to walk down into it....SO worth it!

A walking tour of La Jolla provides excellent views of the Southern California coastline, and lots of birds and marine life. Also easy access to many restaurants, shops, and art galleries.

Street parking is limited, so arrive early to get a spot and make a day of it.

Just avoid the cave, as it cost $5 person and it may not be worth the cost for more people. You just walk down the steps and then to the water level. See the water and inside the Cove. Nothing else....you can see almost as much from up above and if you walk around...maybe if it where $2 would be better for a while Family...

Outstanding place to walk on the beach or paved surface. Excellent place to take pictures of sunset or beach. Bring walking shoes; there is places you can rinse off if you entered the ocean.
