Such an amazing experience to get close to the sea life in a kayak or snorkeling. Park of the underwater park and water temp not too cold summer through sept. must do for anyone who loves the ocean.

real neat inside these caves, a little wet and smells like old fish. can be slippery and it is a lot of up and down.

Very interesting and beautiful area. The smell is overpowering at times but tolerable. People do enjoy the facility even with the smell. Quaint shop where you park (if you find room) before you descend to the caves. Can’t remember the name of the shop but the prices were excellent and the merchandise very unique. When I was there with a tour the shop had been forced open so most of us did not buy what we wanted to purchase; I got only 2 bottles of spring water, not easy to find in San Diego since ‘purified’ is all I was offered everywhere.

It was fun watching the waves come into the caves. The steps going down were a little slippery and there was not as much down there as we expected, but it was ok.

a part of our kayak tour we got to visit the caves. they're pretty cool. didn't get to see too many marine life inside the clam cave - only a family of sea lions w/ their pup sleeping away but i guess we were fortunate enough that the conditions let us kayak through. we got a peek at the historical cave store as well... overall a nice visit and would recommend if you like this sort of thing...
