Beautiful location, walking distance to the the ocean. Has the charm of a quaint village. I only wish that there were more 'mom & pop' stores rather than Victoria's Secret, Bannana Republic, ect,. Parts of La jolla feel like you are walking through a mall

A nice shopping, restaurant and art district. Salsa music, some good food options (something other than burgers and fries which is all you can find in the USA) and classy setting.

Toured the area today after lunch at the Ocean Terrace. Nice boutiques mixed in with traditional stores. Limited parking on surface streets but plenty of restaurants to choose from. Not too many shoppers noted but with the weather being so warm everyone was in the water.
