We stay at this B&B in La Jolla when we visit our children & grandchildren it's easy and close to the beach and a children's playground. The local art musuem is just across the street. The rooms are always clean the breakfast wholesome & healthy. We always enjoy meeting the other guests and sharing morning stories together...a beautiful garden and Innkeeper Margaret is a treasure.

Room Tip: some rooms have a gas fireplace that can be a cozy extra...

If you are looking for a small intimate inn with lovely rooms, a gourmet breakfast, wine and and cheese in the afternoon and close to shopping and restaurants in downtown La Jolla, then you should definitely consider this inn. My wife and I stayed in the Pacific View room for six nights. It has expansive views of the Pacific ocean from two sides. We had an amazing breakfast each morning. The inn is located near downtown shopping, restaurants and hiking trails along the coast which meant we could walk everywhere. There were freshly baked cookies available all day in the lobby. There's a charming garden in the rear to relax and a patio upstairs. We met some amazing guests including David McCullum from the series NCIS.

Room Tip: The Pacific View room has great views of the Pacific ocean from two sides. It has a wood burning fir...

We were two couples in their 60's and thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. My husband and I normally do not like B and B's for the inconsistency in beds, pillows, etc. But the rooms here are very charming, very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We met another couple our ages at wine and cheese in the dining room at 500pm and also several couples in 20-30s and two 30 something wives staying there while their husbands were diving. It is a very friendly atmosphere and excellent breakfast. We parked our car and never got it out for 3 days. So very nice to be able to walk everywhere!. We would definitely return.

What a lovely garden. And the patio on the roof off the library is a perfect way to wile away a sunny afternoon for wine-and-cheese hour. Teresa greeted us, and made us feel like we were at home, and Steven explained each course at breakfast. Francisco, the brand new chef, also works at George's in the afternoon, another favorite location in La Jolla. So, the food was exquisite. And those non-stop cookies (best ginger cookies ever!) plus ever-present coffee, tea and sodas made us feel indulged all day long. Our room "The Cove" was sunny and bright, with views of the ocean. Stayed for three days, and enjoyed every type of weather, from stormy rains to sunny, balmy beach days. Drove to Julian to enjoy a snow day as well. But most enjoyable was the candlelight breakfast. The ambiance at this B&B is so great that we all stayed for at least an hour after breakfast, talking and enjoying the company, and the room. Perhaps that would not be possible if the B&B had been full. But since it was not, it is a high compliment to the staff that we felt so much at home that we hated to leave...even with beautiful La Jolla beckoning. We stay at B&B's all over the world, and this ranks among the highest. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this Inn. The manager was lovely and an excellent cook. The staff professional and helpful. The feeling of the Inn is cozy, elegant and feels like you have stepped back to a more gracious time.

This B&B is very well put together. We were there for our wedding night, and we stayed in The Holiday Suite. The Suite was impecable!! The over sized fireplace that had real wood to burn was one of the "must haves", the double tub was cozy and romantic. However, the master bed squeeked a bit too much for us and was distracting though, but we made due.
The staff we delt with were friendly, accomodating and very willing to do whatever we needed to be comfortable. There was bubbly chilling in our room when got there it, whcih was a great touch. We give the staff a big thumb's up!!
The breakfast was a little on the light side, but it was good. The freash squeezed orange juice was very, very good - we both wished we could have taken a gallon or two of that home with us.

We will definately be back!!!

Congratulations, we wish you many years of love, happiness, and health and hope you will be celebrating your anniversaries with us in the future. We love having couples return to visit with us, becoming personal and cherished friends of the Inn. The Bubbly will be chilled and waiting just let us know! During your next visit you might want to request a romantic picnic for two to be enjoyed at sunset along the dramatic La Jolla Cliffs, just one of many wonderful eventful memories to be made here in our charming village by the sea.

Just returned home from our trip traveling the coast of California staying in B&B's along the way. The B&B'S Inn at La Jolla was a highlight. It is such a charming place to stay with a real neighborhood feel imagining what it would be like to live there. Easy walking to shops and eats. The museum is just across the street and walks along the ocean to watch the seals just down a few blocks. The Inn has many choices of rooms at different prices. There is a lovely library/common area and balcony patio upstairs. The breakfasts are an event, a nice way to meet an visit with the other guests and the sorbet at the end of the meals were a real treat. Margaret was the BEST. She really knows how to make you feel special. We loved our 2 nights and wish we had more time.
