I didn't walk around much as I would have liked, but purchased some great stuff from the Pro Shop and walked the first nine holes. It's worth a small trip if you've never been there.

Either course is always in great shape. But try both, each is different and challenging. Sometimes hard to get on without at least a 2 week reservation. A little pricey for non California residents.

Perfect climate, great history, manicured and fair (if not easy). Caddies were a big help and highly recommended.

Nothing to dislike. Played both courses on two different days. Played shots I have watched on TV with the likes of Michelson, Woods, Palmer, Nickalaus, etc. The view was distracting on some holes because of the beauty. What a well done track. From what I understand, North course is going to be redone by Michelson next year. I am in awe of this place. Few misplaced sand traps that could stand being moved on the North course and one green that the slope is too much and very difficult to hold, first par three on back nine from my memory. South is a difficult test even not playing the pro tees but the ones up but well worth the money. Now if I were a CA resident!

Played the north course. Expected the course to be more challenging. If you are a good golfer the course is more challenging because the winds off the Pacific Ocean will come into play. The greens are the most challenging part of the course. Beautiful views and very well kept for a municipal course.
