We eat here quite a bit. The food is pretty good across the board, with generous portions and reasonable prices. Family-oriented place with lots of kids, a favorite with local La Canada families. The salsa is homemade and very good. There is also a guacamole cart where they come to your table side and make it fresh in a bowl. The margaritas are very generrously sized as well. The fajitas are a favorite. Good children's menu. The manager Carlos is friendly and helpful. Several of the servers have been there for many years. The front desk employees seem to always be changing and are often local high school kids.
When they moved from their old location to their new one next to Von's, the parking situation improved considerably. However, they continue to be very crowded since the move, so it still often is quite a wait to get a seat. They have twice the seating area now, but its just a very popular local place. The most crowded times (and when to avoid the restaurant if you do not want to wait an hour or more to be seated) are Friday and Saturday evenings, and Taco Tuesday. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations which would help the situation, so its first come first seated. They recently started serving breakfast, and you never have to wait to get a table then.
The restaurant participates in local fund raising drives and is involved in the community. They also have a Taco Truck for catering, which we have used several times over the past decade.
