The best supper I ever had. The food was different but very good, it makes you try food you probably wouldn't think about if you had your run of the mill resturant.

We were staying at the inn and decided to make life simple by just eating at there. Well we are so so glad we did. This was the best meal we had on our week long trip down 101. The dinner is served family style and Thomas and Paul our chefs chose what we were to have that evening. We started with a wonderful bread and whipped butter to go with our salad of butter lettuce and mixed local greens. Then we moved on to sturgeon puree on spring onions (so good). Then we had diced fingerling potatoes with garlic and herbs served with a perfectly cooked tri-tip topped with blue cheese, also served was roast chicken cooked perfectly not dry at all. Dessert was also amazing, hard to describe but very unique and flavorful. If you can not stay at the inn you should at least make reservations for dinner it is so worth it.

They've given their chef free-range to explore and create a daily menu that far exceeds anything around. The wine list is nascent, but they'll get around to it. Dinners are prix fixe at $25 and reservations are required. Dinner, served family-style,- is a single seating (was for when I've been there) at 6:30pm. I had six (help yourself) courses: briefly - sunchoke soup, sauteed root vegetables, purple taters, smoked sturgeon, roast chicken breast, raspberry sorbet with chevre. Breakfast is pretty regular (pancakes, yogurt, oatmeal, fresh fruit, eggs and a meat, freshly baked bread, jams/jellies, juices and coffees) and is served from about 8 to 9, as I recall, but I think there could be accommodations. I'd come here just for the food!

We have just had our third visit to the Requa Inn and once again it did not disappoint.

Due to the time of the year dinner on December 20th was family style. There were 10 of us and we were treated to sumptuous meal. The opportunity to dine "en famille" added to the enjoyment of the meal. All the guests were chatty and we feel it was due to the atmosphere of the entire Inn.

Breakfast the next morning was wonderful and with really good coffee being ready from 7:00 the day couldn't start better. The breakfast was just what one needed to kick off the day.

We cannot wait for our next visit.
